About Us

The Syrian-German Business Council (SGBC) is the official platform established to develop, facilitate, and accelerate economic and trade cooperation between Syria and Germany. The Council brings together companies, sectoral institutions, and stakeholders to transform opportunities into effective and organized engagement, through dialogue, stakeholder matchmaking, delegations, and practical facilitation. The Council operates within the official Syrian framework for joint business councils with international partners, seeking to strengthen trade relations, encourage investment and joint projects, and build an effective bridge between the private sectors of both countries.

Our Mandate

The Syrian-German Business Council (SGBC) was established within the official framework of bilateral business councils in Syria, with a mission to serve as the principal institutional channel for economic cooperation between Syria and Germany. This mandate is based on the broader framework through which Syria organizes joint trade cooperation with key international partners.

Our Tasks

Enhancing bilateral trade and economic cooperation

Facilitating investment flows between Syria and Germany

Supporting joint projects and strategic partnerships

Organizing trade delegations in both directions

Providing market intelligence and regulatory guidance

Representing the collective interests of the Syrian-German business community
