Biography
Dr. Ahmad Roman is a legal advisor and PhD researcher specializing in international commercial and investment law. He combines strong academic expertise with practical legal experience gained across diverse international environments.
He obtained his Bachelor of Laws from the University of Aleppo, followed by a Diploma in Private Law and a Master's degree in Commercial Law from Alexandria University. He also holds an LL.M. in Corporate Law from Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich.
He is currently pursuing his PhD, focusing on the reform of investor-state dispute settlement, with particular emphasis on the concept of a Multilateral Investment Court.
On the practical side, Dr. Roman has gained professional experience in both Syria and Germany, working with law firms and companies in the legal field. This experience has provided him with a solid understanding of how legal frameworks operate across different legal and business environments.
His work focuses on delivering clear and practical legal solutions, grounded in a strong understanding of the law and aligned with the real needs of business and investment. He is also a member of the Bar Association.
He currently serves as a Board Member and Head of the Legal Department at the Syrian-German Business Council, where he contributes to strengthening the Council's legal framework and supporting economic and investment cooperation between Syria and Germany.
